ABS Travel Grant (General Category)

The ‘Travel Grant’ is aimed at assisting persons who have a skill or talent in an area that may not necessarily be their main vocation, and who need an opportunity to visit UK to interact with experts, peers or get trained in a relevant institution with a view to upgrading that skill.Briefly, it is aimed at persons who have no organized support system, but are ‘special’ in their chosen field of activity.

The  ‘Travel Grant’ is aimed at assisting artists in any of the  areas listed below and who  need an opportunity to visit UK to interact with experts, peers or get trained in a relevant institution with a view to upgrading their skill or talent. It is aimed at persons who have no organized support system, but show promise of further growth in their chosen area.

Pemanda Monappa Scholarship

With effect from March 25, 2010, the ‘Pemanda Monappa Schoalrship’ was instituted in the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, by Mr.P.M.Belliappa, former President ABS Chennai, in memory of his father, late Pemanda Kutappa Monappa, a highly decorated and respected member of the Indian Police establishment.
